Eligibility
To qualify for UK passport renewal.
The overseas renewal route depends on your current passport, age, residence and any changes to your personal details. The Dallas team can review the likely route before an appointment is booked.
- Your most recent UK passport should be available if you are renewing, unless the application is for a lost, stolen or otherwise unavailable passport.
- You are currently residing in the USA.
- Adult and child applications use different requirements. Applicants age 16 or over use the adult route.
- Child, first-time and replacement applications can require different supporting documents. Call the Dallas office so the likely route can be reviewed.
HM Passport Office advises applicants not to book travel until they have a valid passport. If you already have tickets, visas or travel plans, check whether any details need to be updated after the new passport is issued.
Start the online application
The application is made through the official GOV.UK overseas passport service. Follow the government prompts for declarations, uploads and payment.
