It must confirm current employment, approved vacation dates, and your return to the same position.

Single entry is $60. Multiple entry is $200 and allows unlimited entries within the 3-month validity.

Employment letter — original
From your U.S. employer on company letterhead, confirming that you are currently employed, that you have been approved for vacation time covering your travel dates, and that you will return to your position in the United States after your trip.
Bank statement
A copy of your most recent bank statement showing sufficient funds to cover your stay. No minimum balance is specified, but the statement should reflect reasonable financial stability relative to your trip duration.
Flight itinerary
Include a copy if you have a confirmed booking. Not required if your travel dates are still being finalized.
Traveling with a minor under 18?
Bring the child's birth certificate, copies of both parents' passports or driver's licenses, and a notarized parental consent letter if one parent is not traveling.
Single or multiple entry
Choosing your entry type.
Both run 3 months. The difference is how many times you can enter Turkey within that window.
Which one your trip needs
- Single entry, $60. One entry into Turkey, valid 3 months from issue. Right for a straightforward round trip.
- Multiple entry, $200. Unlimited entries within the same 3-month validity.
- Crossing a border mid-trip? An itinerary that goes into Greece, Bulgaria, or another neighboring country and returns to Turkey needs the multiple-entry visa.

Where Turkey applications go wrong
- A generic employment letter. Omitting the approved vacation dates or the confirmation that you return to your position is a common reason for delay or rejection.
- A photocopied letter. The employment letter must be an original on company letterhead.
- No bank statement. The consulate requires a copy of your most recent statement as evidence of funds.
- Checked at the counter. Letter, statement, photo and application are reviewed together before anything is filed.
