Do you qualify to renew?
Sameday Passport & Visa can assist with your U.S. passport renewal. To qualify, your most recent U.S. passport:
- Is undamaged and can be submitted with your application.
- Was issued when you were age 16 or older.
- Was issued within the last 15 years.
- Was issued in your current name, or you can legally document the change.
If any of those is not true, you file as a new or first time passport instead, which is filed in person.
What renewal saves you
A renewal is the simpler of the two routes. There is no appearance at a Passport Acceptance Facility, no sealed package to carry, and no separate $35.00 execution fee.
You hand Sameday Passport & Visa the current passport, the completed DS-82, a new photo and the government fee. Your expired passport is returned to you along with the new one.

A renewal costs less than a new application.
There is no $35.00 execution fee on a renewal. You pay the government fee, the Sameday Passport & Visa service fee, and FedEx return shipping only if you want it mailed back.

Government expedite fees must be paid by cashier's check or money order, payable to “US Department of State”. Emergency replacement and limited validity replacement passports depend upon application type.
Sameday Passport & Visa also lets you pay everything by debit card, cash or check and will obtain the money order for an additional fee of $10.00.

Adding it up for a renewal
A renewal at the fastest speed is the $213.36 government fee plus the $399 service fee, with shipping on top only if you want it couriered.
- Include a prepaid return air bill and you will not be charged for shipping.
- Provide a FedEx account number and the office will generate the air bill, with a $5 fee added to your work order.
- Or collect the new passport in person at Suite 108.
Government fees + Sameday Passport & Visa expedite fees + return FedEx shipping fees = total fees.
