Do you qualify to renew?
Sameday Passport & Visa can assist with your U.S. passport renewal needs. To qualify, your most recent U.S. passport:
- Is undamaged and can be submitted with your application.
- Was issued when you were age 16 or older.
- Was issued within the last 15 years.
- Was issued in your current name, or you can legally document the change.
If you have a previously issued passport card, please include it. If any condition above is not met, you file as a new or first time passport instead.
Renewing from outside Dallas
Because a renewal needs no appearance in person, distance is not a problem. Sameday Passport & Visa accepts renewal applications by mail at the Dallas office.

If you are processing your passport application with Sameday Passport & Visa by mail, fill out two Letters of Authorization and send them along with the documents, plus the service order form.
A renewal by mail needs no acceptance facility visit at all, so the only trip involved is the one your envelope makes.

There is no $35.00 execution fee on a renewal. You pay the government fee, the Sameday Passport & Visa service fee, and FedEx return shipping only if you want it mailed back.

Government expedite fees must be paid by cashier's check or money order, payable to “US Department of State”. No credit or debit cards are accepted for government fees. Emergency replacement and limited validity replacement passports depend upon application type.
Sameday Passport & Visa also lets you pay everything by debit card, cash or check and will obtain the money order for an additional fee of $10.00.

Adding it up for a renewal
A renewal at the fastest speed is the $213.36 government fee plus the $399 service fee, with shipping on top only if you want it couriered.
- Include a prepaid return air bill and you will not be charged for shipping.
- Provide a FedEx account number and the office will generate the air bill, with a $5 fee added to your work order.
- Or collect the new passport in person at Suite 500.
Government fees + Sameday Passport & Visa expedite fees + return FedEx shipping fees = total fees.
