Standard Visitor
Standard Visitor visa, four things to prepare.
These sit on top of the four documents every UK application needs.
Bank statement — last 3 months
Showing sufficient funds to cover your travel, accommodation, and living costs for the full trip. Original or certified copies. Online statements need a bank endorsement stamp on every page.
Employment letter
Original, on company letterhead, confirming your position, that you are approved for leave, and that your job will be waiting on your return.
Hotel confirmation or host invitation
A confirmed hotel booking, or an invitation letter from your UK host including their full name, address, phone number, your length of stay, a copy of their passport, and proof of their UK immigration status.
Flight itinerary
Include a confirmed booking if you have one. A flight itinerary is helpful but not required if your travel dates are not yet finalized.
Skilled Worker and Student
Skilled Worker visa and Student visa.
Both categories turn on a reference number your UK employer or institution issues before you apply.
Skilled Worker visa, four things to prepare
- Certificate of Sponsorship reference. Assigned by your UK licensed employer through the Home Office sponsorship management system. This is a reference number, not a physical document. Your employer must hold a valid UK Sponsor Licence to issue it.
- Qualifications and work experience. Certificates, degrees, or professional credentials relevant to the role listed on your Certificate of Sponsorship.
- Bank statement — last 3 months. Showing sufficient personal savings to support yourself on arrival in the UK.
- Valid ID and flight itinerary. Copy of your driver's license or state ID with matching address, and your flight itinerary if available.
Student visa, four things to prepare
- CAS reference number. The Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) reference number issued by your UK institution. Enter it in your online application — it confirms your place on the course.
- Evidence of funds. Funds must have been held in your account for 28 consecutive days before the application date. All documents must be originals. Online bank statements require an endorsement stamp on each page.
- Valid ID and flight itinerary. Copy of your driver's license or state ID with matching address, and your flight itinerary if available.
- Applying by mail? Include a completed Service Order Form so Sameday Passport & Visa can reach you quickly if anything needs clarifying before submission.
Family & Settlement
Family and Settlement visa, four things to prepare.
Original birth certificate
Of the sponsor or spouse applying for the family or settlement visa, confirming the relationship being claimed.
Marriage or civil partnership documents
Proof of the planned or existing marriage, an original employment letter from your UK sponsor, and a 3-month bank statement from the sponsoring party.
Valid ID and flight itinerary
Copy of your driver's license or state ID with matching address, and your flight itinerary if available.
